Do you have a good, clear photograph of your pride and joy?
This section of
Wing World is designed to show off as many bikes as possible. Give us information about your Gold Wing; start with the basics of its year, model and color, then tell a little about what is special about your bike. Send your description and photos to: Wing World Editorial Department, P.O. Box 42450, Phoenix, AZ 85080-2450.

1972 Suzuki T-500
“This is my 1972 Suzuki T-500,” writes Don Schroepfer, GWRRA #169478, of Antigo, Wisconsin. “It is all stock and in original condition. It has its own unique sound and you sure don't see any two-stroke road bikes on the street anymore. I bought the bike from my brother in 1979 and have had it ever since.”

2003 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic
Eddie & Terrell Pinson, GWRRA #39203, of Boise, Idaho, ride around the Treasure Valley on this 2003 Harley-Davidson FLHRCI when they’re not riding their magenta 1996 Gold Wing GL1500 SE. That’s a “Gold Wing Parking Only” sign behind Eddie. It’s his garage, so he can make and break his own rules!

1982 Kawasaki KZ1100A2
Bob & Thess (pronounced “Tess”) Thurgood, GWRRA #169858, of Bothell, Washington, own this candy apple red Kawasaki with color matched Vetter fairing and lowers. Also installed are engine case guards, Bagman tank bag, Krauser saddlebags and trunk, and a custom-mounted passenger backrest. Only three of these bikes were sold in Washington, so the owners have kept it in detailed condition and show it often. The Thurgoods also own and ride a 1999 GL1500 SE.

22003 GL1800 & 2003 VTX 1300
Joe & Sondra Schimmoler, GWRRA #610843, of Titusville, Florida, say that “Candy is dandy,” evidenced by their matching candy colored bikes. That’s Sondra and the Hondas in a central Florida field of wildflowers.

1982 Yamaha XV920RJ
“Although the Yamaha rep wouldn’t tell me how many of these were built, I believe it’s fairly rare,” says James E. Lambert, GWRRA #96350, or Hastings, Nebraska. “I bought the bike new and have 52,000 miles on it. In that time, I’ve seen only one other like it. The bike has an enclosed chain drive that runs in a liter of grease. I’m still on the original chain!”
James also owns a 1982 GL1100 Standard with Vetter package, and a TriWing trike conversion.
